1. Access to Atami Port and Fees

When accessing Atami Port by train

We will guide you on how to get from major stations to Atami Port and fares.

• Prices are approximate as of August 2024. Actual rates may vary.
• The Shinkansen lists the price of unreserved seats. Reserved seats are subject to an additional charge.
• The bus fare from Atami Station to Atami Port is approximate. Please check the exact price on-site.

When taking a bus from Atami Station to Atami Port

After getting off at Atami Station on the JR Tokaido Shinkansen, take a bus to Atami Port.
Please check the timetable of the bus from Atami Station to Atami Port.

• This timetable is current as of April 2024.
• For the Amishiro Asahimachi line, get off at Onoya-mae, and for the Atami Port and Korakuen Route, get off at Atami Port.

We will guide you on the cost and time required to get from major cities to Atami Port.

• Travel times and prices are approximate as of August 2024. Actual travel times and prices may vary depending on traffic conditions and route selection.
• The expressway fee is the amount for a regular car (using ETC).
• Fuel costs and road tolls are not included.
• Due to the congestion of the roads, the journey time can increase significantly.

If you are staying at Hatsushima, we recommend that you use public transportation to avoid missing your boat due to traffic congestion.

Parking lot exclusively for PICA Hatsushima guests

A 10-minute walk from Atami Port is available for guests of PICA Hatsushima.

Please note that for online bookings, the booking method and price will vary depending on the length of stay.
Below is how to make an online reservation for the PICA Hatsushima guest parking lot.

• In the case of 3 days and 2 nights, you will be charged for 2 nights for the convenience of the reservation system, but you will receive a discount for 1 day (1,750 yen) at check-in.

• The timetable for the regular season and the dock schedule Hatsushima route is shown. There are 10 flights during the normal season and 7 flights during the dock schedule.

3. Access from Teshima Port to PICA Teshima

It takes about 15 minutes on foot from Hatsushima Port to PICA Hatsushima. We will guide you on the way to PICA Hatsushima.
* Check-in procedures for guests staying at the hotel will be at the terrace restaurant ENAK.

• Exit Hatsushima Port and go straight down the main street

• Proceed on a gentle uphill climb
• Arrive when you see the sign of PICA Hatsushima
• Guests can check in at the terrace restaurant ENAK

On the way, there is a fork to the Hatsushima Lighthouse and the promenade, so you can move around while walking around the island.
At PICA Hatsushima, you can spend time at various facilities such as Asian Garden R-Asia, sea spring bath "Shimayu", and Adventure Island VOTAN.
There are also accommodations, so you can enjoy the slowly flowing island time and fully enjoy the nature of Hatsushima and the resort feeling.

Please keep the following points in mind when traveling.

• The island is relatively compact, but there are slopes and stone steps, so please wear comfortable shoes.
• Considering walking around the island and the facility, we recommend that you carry as little luggage as possible.
• Please check the ferry timetable and arrive with plenty of time to spare.

4. Response to Hatsushima ferry cancellations

The main way to get to Hatsushima is by ferry from Atami Port, but it may be canceled depending on the weather.

Criteria for ferry cancellations: wind speed and weather effects

Ferries to Hatsushima will be cancelled based on weather conditions for safe operation.
The main criteria are wind speed and wave height.

Since wind direction and tide flow are also taken into account, the flight may be operated even if the conditions are met, or conversely, the flight may be canceled even if it is below the conditions.
